What we donβt own, owns us.
When we don't own and acknowledge hidden aspects of our psyche, they will have a grip on us and the life we say we want.
When we attach to certain aspects of ourselves - beliefs, behavior patterns, and self-sabotage, we can limit our availability to ourselves and others in our nearest and dearest relationships.
Have you done shadow work? How is it serving you?
This is an aspect of the Inner Work that is an ongoing process and it deserves a lot of self-compassion.
I've been doing it for the majority of my adult life!
It's hard to see the disowned parts of ourselves and it takes concerted effort. It's also not that fun but there is a big payoff when we start to integrate the parts of us that we find most shameful.
π our relationship with ourselves and others deepens

π we feel more joyful
π we feel more relaxed and at peace in our bodies
